I’m Kevin Allred. I write code and build amazing things for the web.

I’ve always had a fascination with creating things. Building castles out of wooden blocks. Designing lego starships. I always found immense joy in the process of creating something from nothing.

This fascination naturally led to me discovering sandbox games particularly Minecraft. No longer was I limited to the materials I had on hand. I could build anything I could imagine. I spent countless hours building and designing in Minecraft. I even started a server with my friends where we could build together. I was hooked. I knew I wanted to build things for the rest of my life. It was then that I discovered software development. Turns out the process of hosting a minecraft server is eerily similar to that of a web application.

With a minecraft server online, all that remained was to spread the word. What better excuse to build a website? With some help from some older brothers, I built my first website: deepslate.net, which is no longer in service. It wasn’t pretty but it worked and I had fallen into the rabbit hole of web development.

Today, I’m a developer at LeaderFactor LLC where I work on a team to influence the world for good.
